Looking for a cheap summer holiday but still not sure where to go?
Fortunately the movements in the exchange rate have gone in our favour for once and the pound has strengthened against the Euro until it is now around 1.2 Euros to the pound so you’re getting around 20% more Euros for your money – which is nice! Not only that, but the recession in Europe is forcing businesses to cut their prices, and this includes restaurants and supermarkets to the extent that reports have said that the average price of a basket of goods (including a restaurant meal with wine) is now 40% cheaper than it cost last year and the countries where the biggest savings are to be found are Portugal and Spain.
So, it’s even better to get a cheap deal on the holiday itself because it means that a foreign holiday is within reach of more of us and so it’s worth checking out the Lowcostholidays sale because holidays are up to 50% off! A lot of people aren’t booking a holiday at all due to the budget and economic uncertainty which means more spare capacity that needs to be sold off so it’s a small silver lining for British holiday makers. Click here to visit the Lowcostholidays sale now for some of the cheapest holidays available for summer 2010. Last minute deals are always available and always cheap!
It’s also worth checking Thomas Cook as well as they are also operating sales in many areas with all-inclusive Greek Holidays from £229 per person (and that’s a full package including flights). If the budget hasn’t hit you as hard as you had feared, then go for it and escape the doom and gloom for a week (or maybe two!).
